CraftSuiteHubVectorCraft app and GitHub: source, downloads and raster alternatives
Find the official VectorCraft repository and choose vector or raster editing based on your output.
Where is the official VectorCraft GitHub repository?
The official VectorCraft page links to storytold/vectorcraft. Start with that source chain when you search for “github vectorcraft” or “vectorcraft app.” A similarly named repository or repackaged download is not automatically maintained by the same team.
The official page describes a Rust vector illustration application and offers desktop packages and a web archive. It declares SVG and PDF import/export. We have not validated these features or installed VectorCraft in this workspace.
VectorCraft or PhotoCraft?
A vector drawing uses paths and shapes; a raster image uses pixels. Choose according to the editable result you need, not only the file extension you started with.
| Goal | Starting choice | Output check |
|---|---|---|
| Editable logo paths | Investigate VectorCraft | Reopen SVG; inspect paths and text |
| Brush marks on a photograph | PhotoCraft manual workspace | Inspect exported PNG pixels |
| Print illustration | Evaluate a vector workflow | Check fonts, page size and PDF output |
| A quick social image | A raster workflow may suffice | Check dimensions and visible changes |
Exporting a PNG of a logo produces a raster copy; it does not preserve editable vector paths. Likewise, putting a photograph inside an SVG does not turn its pixels into a traced vector illustration.
Evaluate a download before your main project
Check the repository owner, release tag, package architecture and checksums linked by the official page. Use a non-sensitive sample first. Test text, curves and your required export format; reopen the result in another viewer or the recipient's editor. Check license and font permissions for distribution.
CraftSuiteHub has no hosted VectorCraft editor at present. Our working tool is PhotoCraft for manual raster edits. See the PNG tutorial for an observed export workflow, or the ArtCraft apps guide for other project categories.
